Allergens The presence of allergens in products The obligation to indicate the presence of allergens in food are clear directives of the European Parliament and Council 2003/89/EC, which amends Directive 2000/13/EC as regards indication of the ingredients present in foodstuffs and the Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Health no. 1187/2004 – 100, which is issued to the head of the Food Code, regulating the labeling of the SR (as amended by Order No. 1761/2005 – 100, no. 3069/2005 – 100 and no. 2319/2007 – 100). The above-cited decree establishes labeling requirements for food placed in circulation by the final consumer.
